Butler is a Whippet. He's really quite large for a Whippet, weighing in at just over 45 pounds. We adopted Butler in June, 1996, from a woman who had driven all the way from Austin, TX to Shreveport, LA, to get him from a breeder. A single week later, she placed an ad in the Austin American-Statesman putting him up for adoption. We figured Sadie could use a playmate, and a small, fast dog would make a good one.

Butler is an expert frisbee catcher, critter-chaser, and all-around nuisance. He's also unbelievably adorable, and a pure-bred heartbreaker. His favorite activities are running and chewing.
